MANDATORY REGISTRATION OF ORGANIZATIONS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

The National Commission on Disability (NCD) reminds all civil society groups, non-governmental organizations, and associations operating for or on behalf of persons with disabilities in Guyana of their statutory obligation under the law.

Pursuant to Part IV, Section 6(2) of the Persons with Disabilities Act (Cap. 36:05):

“An organisation for persons with disabilities shall register with the Commission.”

Registration ensures your organization is recognized under the law, included in national policy consultations, and eligible for official institutional support, collaborative programs, and network referrals.
